The Bible is a complete book that provides “all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2 Pet. 1:3).

So, it should be no surprise there is a lot in the Bible about money, obtaining wealth, and the proper use of material possessions.

Today’s list offers 13 Bible-based suggestions based on how to be a good steward of money.

13 Biblical Suggestions For Managing Money

#1 Realize that God owns everything; I’m entrusted to be the manager (Haggai 2:8; Matt. 25:14-29).

#2 Benefits and blessings come when we work (1 Tim. 5:17-18; Prov 10:4)

#3 Budget and plan how to use money (Pov.21:5).

#4 Manage debt wisely. (Prov. 22:7).

#5 Give back to God the first fruits of your income (Mal. 3:8; 1 Cor 16:1-2).

#7 Use discretionary income to help both Christians and non-Christians (Gal. 6:10; Eph 4:28).

#8 Don’t be greedy or make money your god (1 Tim. 6:10; Lk. 12:15).

#9 If you gain great wealth, don’t be selfish. Share with others (1 Tim. 6:17-19).
